Hello, nice to meet you!
My name is Raffaela Lazzerin, I’m 58 years old and I’m a Vector Illustrator and Pattern Designer based in Venice, Italy.
Pastels, pencils, acrylics, and oil colors have been my best friends since childhood.
Thanks to them, I started designing a world on my own.
And my career too.
Well, it wasn’t easy. Sometimes I still wonder if I was born too early. Or too late. Who knows? At junior school, I got an “A” in Design and “C” in Conduct.
Funny, isn’t it? I was some sort of “rebel girl” already then.
After high school, I left my parent’s house to study “Advertising Design” in Florence. It was quite an unusual choice for an Italian girl in the Eighties. So, my family was not so happy about it. But I knew what I wanted to be and, at that time, there were only 2-3 graphic design schools in my country where I could get a certification. This happened more than 30 years ago. Since then, I’ve never stopped working in the field and learning new things to update my skills.
Computer revolutionized the visual industry. This, for professionals, meant facing new challenges and seizing new opportunities. It’s a brand new world.
But what feels most important to me is that, after so many years, I can still approach every new project with the same enthusiasm I had when I started my career.
I’m Raffaela. I’m a Digital Illustrator and now Pattern Designer. And if you have a project you strongly believe in, I’m eager to hear from you. Together we’ll make it shine!
